August Book Sale!

August Book Sale!

*sigh* These books aren't doing anyone any good sitting on my shelf - or tucked away in boxes in closets. I really want you all to have them - especially now that I'm moving and having to lug them to another house. The problem is - and I never knew this before being published - authors have to buy their own books. I pay around half the retail (around 6.50 per book) plus shipping to get them to my house. Then I wait for people to buy them. Then I pay paypal for handling the transaction. Still, I really want them off my shelf and out of my closets and in the hands of people who want to read them. So I'm repeating the deal I cooked up last August: Buy three, get one free! - Any assortment of my books you want. Right now, I'm listing my books for 9.99 - you can see them all here. Shipping is a flat $3 in the US no matter how many books you buy. To take advantage of this offer, order three books using the paypal cart, then email me and tell me which book you want free. I will autograph the books and send them within 24 hours. If you buy six, you get two free - nine, three free. And so on. Why would you want to buy so many books? Well, you might get them for presents for baby showers. You might want to do a study group with a group of moms to talk about what you've read. Though they're not Bible studies, I know some groups of moms have done this with Lord, Please Meet Me in the Laundry Room and The Mommy Manual. I could see a group of moms who wanted to get into the Montessori at home approach with preschoolers might be encouraged by forming a small group to read, meet and discuss Mommy, Teach Me! and Mommy, Teach Me to Read!. If you can't afford the books, I still want you to read them. Go to your local library and see if they are there (they're in mine). If not, ask them to order them for you (they'll probably go to the publisher for them, which is fine with me - as long as everyone who wants to read them has a chance. If you are wondering about the books, please look them up at amazon and read the reader reviews to see what other mothers have to say about them. Here are three reviews of Mommy, Teach Me! and Mommy, Teach Me to Read!: Finally! Books that Bridge the Gap Danielle Hanley's review Homeschooling Today reviews Only a few more weeks 'til September - and I always find September is a great time for making a fresh start with children! These books are so reader-friendly - it's a great way to get yourself prepared.
