Cleaver-Brooks, formerly known as Aqua Chem, manufactured the boiler that was installed at the Potsdam Civic Center in 1977. A village trustee stated that he doesn’t believe the boiler unit contained asbestos, as a service technician from the company that sold the boiler didn’t think that the boiler parts used asbestos.
