When viewed from the front Mercedes-Benz says that the SLS AMG was designed to be extremely dynamic even while stationary. The distinctive 19-inch (front) and 20-inch (rear) light-alloy wheels fill the wheel arches, which stand out when viewed from the side. The back of the SLS AMG features what Mercedes-Benz calls a “prominent vehicle shoulder and sleek tail lights” that have a distinctive wing-shaped LEDs. The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG is available in a range of paint finishes and two matte- finishes including “designo magno allanite grey” and “AMG magno sylvanite grey.” 2011 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG On the inside, standard features include, floor mats with AMG logo, interior appointments in designo leather, anti-theft warning system, electric parking brake ,headlamp assist, KEYLESS-GO start function, rain sensor, reversing camera, heated sports seats, sports pedals in stainless steel with rubber studs, cruise control with SPEEDTRONIC and THERMOTRONIC. Optional features include 6-disc DVD changer, Bang & Olufsen BeoSound AMG surround sound system, media interface, memory package with electric seat and steering wheel adjustment and a performance sports steering wheel in Alcantara leather. Power for the 2011 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG comes from a 6.3L V8 engine making an outstanding 571-hp at 6,800 rpm and a maximum torque of 479 lb-ft at 4,750 rpm. Mated to an AMG SPEEDSHIFT DCT 7-speed sports transmission, the SLS AMG goes from 0 to 62 mph in 3.8 seconds with a top speed of 197 mph. The driver has the ability to chose from four different driving modes including: “C” (Controlled Efficiency), “S” (Sport), “S+” (Sport plus) or “M” (Manual) along with a RACESTART function.
