For our team in Leipzig we are looking to hire a: Software Developer (JEE) for the TomTom WORK Backend and Communication Services team Becoming part of Backend and Communication Services will see you taking over mission critical development and software engineering tasks with a high level of responsibility and impact in one of the following areas: * Throughput-oriented message processing platform * Data service bus and data aggregation * Provision of stable external and internal service interfaces * Development and support of tooling for billing/invoicing and controlling You will work in maintenance and green-field developments of software components and entire systems which are meeting the mark in terms of scalability, flexibility and transactional throughput. You will take on responsibility for tasks or subtasks in specification for new system developments and you will have opportunity to get acquainted with existing system and architectures and extend, improve and refactor these. Skill profile: * You have at least 2 years commercial experience with development of reliable, scalable, mission critical server applications * Personal must-haves: analytic mind, achievement oriention, sense of quality, flexible thinking and good communication skills. You are a self-driven team player with entrepreneurial touch and a passion for good software * You hold a degree computer science or a related field or you have equivalent qualifications or professional experience * You have profound knowledge and experience with Java / JEE, SQL (Oracle) and favourably PL/SQL as development languages. Control of other development, scripting, and mark-up languages as for example XML, XSD, WSDL, C#, CORBA/IDL will be of advantage * You were able to gain insight into and experience with the following frameworks, standards, and software categories: Spring, BDB, Hibernate, CXF, JDBC, EJB, SOAP / REST Web Services, JMS, EDI formats, ESB / MOM, Caches * You have experience with as many as possible of the following: design patterns, especially EAI patterns, interface contracts and interface stability, design and programming by contract, variant management * You have excellent command of the German and English language (in speaking and writing) Our offer We offer an interesting job in a fast paced environment and development perspectives within a company with an intact growth story.
