Door Access Control Systems: Optional extras

Door Access Control Systems: Optional extras

There are many ways in which door access control systems can be modified or improved in order to best fit the requirements of a particular property, business or other situation. Optional extras can be added to access systems to enhance their capabilities or make them more suitable for a wider range of uses.  Two popular optional extras for door access control systems are external antennas and motion detectors.

Adding an additional external antenna to your door access control systems will enable the devices to communicate with each other over a greater distance.  Without the antenna, the range of the equipment is usually around one mile.  Adding the antenna means that you can move the devices further apart without losing communication.  This is a very important feature for large properties.

Motion detectors can be positioned at locations around a property to alert people when a person or animal enters that immediate area.  When this occurs an alarm is triggered at the base station within the property.  The person near the base station can then lesson to the activity around the detector and, if there is a person there, they can use the devices to talk to one another.  Additional accessories, such as a gate opener, lighting or camera can also be attached to the motion detector to increase its effectiveness.

Adding external antennas or motion detectors to your door access control systems are just two of the many ways that these devices can be easily customized to meet your specific needs.
