Atlantic City Part II: mur.mur at The Borgata and Jason DeRulo | Be Happy NYC

Atlantic City Part II: mur.mur at The Borgata and Jason DeRulo | Be Happy NYC

After our amazing dinner at Continental we high tailed over to The Borgata to dance the night away at mur.mur (their nightclub).

(picture from www.onlineticketsusa.com)

As we approached the nightclub we noticed a VERY long line wrapping itself half way around he entire casino. There were definitely over a hundred people on this line and several groups of good looking women. I thought we were screwed. We got on the end of the line and one of the girls said she was going to try her luck with the doorman. We were all waiting and chatting. After a few minutes I noticed a guy had approached some of the girls and said he had 5 comps but we would have to split up. Being the sweet girls that they were they let Bday girl 2 (who was later nicknamed Razzle a la Jersey Shore style) and myself go. We all walked up with him anyway (hoping no one would notice the 2 extra girls and the extra -gasp- husband). I was talking to the guy, Johnny, who happened to be a resident of Alphabet City. I told him he just HAD to try Minca if he was ever in the mood for fantastical ramen. As luck would have it we all got in and they waived the $20 cover. Johnny hooked us up! After we went down the escalator he just left. It was so odd! We proceeded to the ridiculously hot and packed dance floor and started "battling" on the dance floor to "them beats." [Ok- I need to interrupt this blog- I am sorry for the random Jersey Shore references, I watched 6 hours of it on Sunday while it poured rain outside and I just can't get enough!] It was so fun, despite the creepers ;) All of a sudden a live performer came on the stage where the DJ was and starting singing a song I couldn't recognize...regardless we all thought it was so cool to have a live show ON TOP of getting into the club for free. His third song was "Whatcha Say" and immediately we recognized him as Jason DeRulo! It was a great performance! Some rounds of slots and roulettes later and we were back in the suite ready to eat cheesy poofs, by 5am we were all in bed and ready for the next day!
