Every Other Day Diet works by increasing your body's metabolism and making it burn more calories by changing your eating patterns. For every other day, you will be eating highly nutritious and high protein foods that will create a calorie deficit for your body to burn fat. On the rest of the days, you can actually be able to eat whatever foods you want but at a controlled quantity.
Every Other Day Diet means that you have one day of eating normally and the one day of eating light. The day where you eat light consists of 300-400 calories. Created by Dr. John Daugirdas, it was meant to help with weight loss but not feel like they are being deprived.
The diet has not been completely evaluated for its effectiveness; but, anyone who has the following illnesses should not use this diet: kidney or heart disease, diabetes, eating disorders, strokes or hypertension.
